Materials & Sustainability:
The Surface: 100% certified organic cotton. High thread count, beautifully soft, and digitally printed or dyed using eco-friendly methods that use significantly less water and fewer chemicals than traditional textile printing.

The Waterproof Membrane: The premium PUL is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified—guaranteed free from BPAs, phthalates, PFAS and harsh chemicals. It is bonded directly to a knit fabric backing to keep the mattress surface perfectly firm with no excess padding.

Safety & The "Breathability" Myth
Why CO₂ Safety Matters More Than "Breathability"
"Breathable" is a marketing term, not a regulated safety standard. What actually keeps a baby safe is preventing carbon dioxide (CO₂) rebreathing.

Standard mattresses can absorb and pool exhaled CO₂. The ultra-thin waterproof layer acts as a barrier, preventing gas from pooling in the mattress and allowing it to safely disperse into the room instead. Because there is no bulky padding, the surface remains perfectly firm, allowing your baby to reposition easily and safely. 

Wash: Machine wash up to 60°C (140°F) with similar colours. Wash before first use.

Dry: Tumble dry on a low/cool setting, or line dry in the shade.

Avoid: Do not iron, bleach, dry clean, or use harsh stain sprays. Avoid very high heat and sharp objects to protect the waterproof membrane.

Note: Mild fading on darker colours over time is a natural characteristic of organic cotton and organic dyes.
