Sandwiched between two soft layers of natural Tencel® fabric is a discreet layer of waterproof thermoplastic polyurethane. This soft, protective flat mat can be placed directly on top of a bed sheet and removed for washing, keeping the rest of the bed clean and dry. Tencel is a sustainable fabric made from eucalyptus wood fibres. It is naturally anti-microbial, resisting dust mites, bacteria, and allergens. Textiles made with Tencel are softer than silk, cooler than linen, and more absorbent than cotton, while also being wrinkle-resistant. This eco-friendly fabric is breathable and offers 50% greater moisture absorption than cotton, helping keep babies cool even on warm nights. Its moisture-wicking properties inhibit bacterial growth and protect against mould and mites.
